Uma análise das políticas públicas voltadas para os serviços de saúde bucal no Brasil

Abstract

Public policies can be defined as a set of actions of government, ie, rules and procedures that assist in the relations between government and society and aimed at solving problems of the community. The aim of this study was to analyze facing public oral health services in Brazil public policies, identifying evidence in the literature about the perceptions of patients and professionals on the efficiency and effectiveness of these policies. For a survey of this nature was conducted in bibliographic following databases: PubMed, Scopus, Lilacs, Google Scholar. In addition, we sought to demonstrate the evolution of the laws at the national level, dealing about the topic researched. The results demonstrate that the process of dental care needs to be improved, establishing public policy is consistent with our reality and that user satisfaction should be the main goal of every health care service. Also, if averigou that the government in the last twenty years he sought to undertake public policies to increase the primary care in the Basic Health Units, mainly to reduce future spending and promote preventive treatments to avoid developing for clinical situations requiring more complex treatments. It is observed that much remains to be completed in terms of the adoption of public policies for the sector oral health to the point of providing subsidies that could cover the demand. Every effort undertaken by the government, so far, has proved insufficient and what else has been practicing palliative is the targeting of resources, choosing to perform some dental care, leaving aside others. Furthermore, lack of structuring policies that allow the allocation of budget funds that is specifically designed for oral health.
