Abstract

This work had as its theme the health profile of teaching public servant in Brazil, addressing aspects of the environment and working conditions, skill and medical care, quality of work life and public policies for people management in this area. It was observed that the educational policies of the last decades caused changes that caused major impact on school organization and management, providing overload of public servants teachers, compromising the quality of work life of these. It was noted that legal protection is shy in the protection of life and health of these professionals. Thus, we highlight the importance of public management with a focus on people management in improving this framework aimed at the construction of efficient public policies, supported by the assistance and medical expertise, quality of work life and promoting health, directly influencing the prevention of illness of the servers listed here. It is concluded that the health of the public servant teaching in Brazil, is in precarious level, leading to negative effects teaching career in Brazil. For these reasons there is a need for public policies in the area of people management in order to reduce the problem of illness of these professionals, aiming at improvements in health profile of teaching public server in Brazil.
