Poluição ambiental das praias de Salvador – BA

Abstract

The present work is the result of a daily analysis, where garbage has become a serious environmental problem, especially in the beaches that are places of free access. As a result, users often do not find throw the garbage, for lack of an environmental education leave the same anywhere dirtying the environment. In Salvador (BA), for example, another 1 million tons of garbage are produced annually, where only 5% is recycled. Therefore, this work aims to investigate users’ knowledge about environmental education and the main environmental problems on the beaches of Salvador. In order to provide subsidies this work consists of a bibliographical research where the necessary data and information are obtained from the survey of specialized authors through books, scientific articles and specialized magazines, among other sources. The data collected are from 2017 to the present date, which indicated that garbage on the beaches of Salvador reaches 50 tons per day. Based on the results, it is suggested an awareness campaign, implementation of dumps on the beaches of Salvador aiming at the preservation of the themselves.
