Abstract

This study aimed to identify the causes of employee turnover in accounting offices in the city of Pato Branco - PR. This research is characterized as descriptive and quantitative. Employee turnover rate and the offices have career plans and salaries. The staff turnover is a determining factor for the success of companies, because a high flow of employees can bring adverse consequences for businesses. To obtain the data, two questionnaires with closed and open questions were applied, a questionnaire for the owners and the other questionnaire for the employees of the accounting offices of the city of Pato Branco - PR and also used books, articles, and world Wide Web. The research is descriptive and quantitative. From the results obtained by the research, it was possible to identify that the turnover rate of office employees is small, since it can be analyzed by the fact that managers have full knowledge about the costs of turnover and its impacts.
