Análise ergonômica das atividades em viveiro de mudas florestais: um estudo de caso

Abstract

The market for companies that are specialized in the production of seedlings forest is booming. This happens especially for those who are dedicated to the cultivation of native woods and trees that provide raw materials to industries that are relevant to the current economy in Brazil. The company focus of this study, produces both seedlings for reforestation, as Eucalyptus dunnii directed the production of pulp and for the furniture industry. With the expansion of the market, also comes the need of increased productivity, which requires even more intensified effort thru the employees who are part of this organization. The work in the greenhouse requires repetitive tasks with hand movements, which often entail the use of force. It is commonly performed with improper postures, causing an intense mechanical pressure in the upper limbs, besides the time spent standing which also puts pressure on the lower limbs. It is important to highlighting the misuse of tools and utensils, which can result in musculoskeletal injuries on the hands and wrists. Understanding this reality, the present study had as its central objective verify the ergonomic working conditions in a seed-plot through a case study, tracing the profile of the employees and the daily problems of the functions performed by these individuals.
