Turismo religioso em Treze Tílias: uma análise do planejamento estratégico governamental

Abstract

This research presents an approach on strategic planning in tourism in the municipality of Treze Tílias in the state of Santa Catarina. It focuses on religious tourism and its collaboration in enhancing the development of the municipal tourist area. It presents concepts on public management as well as planning strategies focused on tourism. It discusses the difficulties and facilitation of tourism development based on information and knowledge of relevant literature. It offers several reflections and decision-making to the citizens and also to the members of the public sector with regard to religious tourism. It presents the events and religious sites for the analysis and valuation of tourism. The research shows a panorama of tourism in the municipality with focus on the religious area which allows the growth in social relations and tourism development. For this purpose, the dialectic method was applied through qualitative research with data collection. The application of a questionnaire to several residents and people belonging to the area of education, as well as the interviews directed to members of the public or private tourist area of the municipality brings as a result the knowledge and valuation of religious tourism in the planning of the tourist area of the municipality.
