Dificuldades encontradas no canteiro de obras para a utilização de equipamentos de proteção individual (EPI’S)

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze, through a case study and the application of a questionnaire, what are the main reasons why construction workers do not use personal protective equipment, which also reveals which PPE's exist in the studied works And the degree of importance that employers attach to the safety of their employees. For that, a questionnaire was applied with ten employees and four administrators, in four different works of the same technical head in the city of Londrina - PR. The responses of the questionnaires were analyzed and a comparison was made between the answers. Among the results found, the individual protection equipment when present, were in good condition. It was found that the main obstacle to maintaining safety at the construction site is the worker himself, who gives up his protection even though he knows the risks. The main causes for the non-use of PPE were: discomfort, excessive pressure, tactile restriction, mobility restriction and lack of equipment usage.
