Manutenção centrada em confiabilidade: aplicação em um sistema de ventilação da área industrial da Itaipu Binacional

Abstract

This work presents the methodology of Reliability Centered Maintenance – RCM, as management maintenance tool, that has been adopted by companies in the Brazilian Electric Sector, in order to avoid interruption of your services by unavailability or operational constraints of its assets, being used to try to establish the best strategy for equipment maintenance. The RCM is a structured method that identifies the functionality or performance required by the equipment in its operating context, identifies the failure modes and the likely causes and then details the effects and consequences faults, allowing to evaluate the criticality of the failures and where we identify significant consequences that affect safety, availability or cost, and select the appropriate maintenance tasks directed to the identified failure modes. This work presented the implantation of the MCC in one of the ventilation systems of Itaipu Binacional, resulting in a review of the documentation regarding the execution of the periodic maintenance of it, but without considering the monitoring and feedback of the program.
