Análise normativa e de desempenho dos meios de abandono em dois teatros de Curitiba

Abstract

One of the most important factors that guarantees the protection of human life is the study of evacuation of occupants of a particular building, in particular in those areas of the building with high concentration of people. As the study of fire safety measures has increasingly become a factor of great importance in the protection of human life, and consequently, in the safeguard of property and its respective environment, fire safety research therefore continuous to be a captivating subject area to investigate. The scope of the present work is to address passive safety strategies through abandonment (evacuation) and to propose how they can be applied in existing buildings and planned in new buildings. The research carried out and portrayed in this work aimed to present a set of study elements through abandonment in a theatrical space. To this end, the research compared two theaters located in Curitiba with difference in construction time between them of approximately 50 years. An emergency evacuation was simulated in both theaters to test their emergency exits and the respective escape routes that those theaters give access to those exits in order to determine the overall evacuation time of occupants.
