Análise ergonômica dos níveis de ruído nas bibliotecas Farol do Saber da cidade de Curitiba

Abstract

This paper aimed to evaluate the environmental noise level workers and users of the public libraries Farol do Saber, located in the city of Curitiba, are exposed and compare it to the tolerance limits set up by the actual Brazilian standards NR 15, NBR 10.151:200 and 10.152:1987, and also to the previous paper titled “Análise Ergonômica dos níveis de ruído e iluminação em bibliotecas na cidade de Curitiba – Faróis do Saber” presented in the year 2006. For this, it was chosen five libraries Farol do Saber located in different districts of Curitiba. Measurement of noise level were made during the morning, afternoon and night shifts, for three days in each library. From the results, it was concluded that all of the measurements did not exceed the limits set by NR 15, however, the most of them exceeded the acoustic comfort level established by NBR 10.151:200 and NRB 10.152:1987. Furthermore, it was observed similarity between the causes of noise related in the previous paper mentioned and the causes indicated in this paper. This way, we can see that the noise issues related to these library come from a long time, what is harmful for the development of intellectual activities and the community interest in using them.
