Abstract

This research consists of a literature review and aimed to view the applications that the Mean Value Theorem and Rolle’s Theorem in mathematical feature. Thus, we used the concept of derivate. Was carried out for an explanation of the historical aspects about Calculus in the history of mankind. Through exercises and examples, one can see how the Mean Value Theorem together with the Rolle’s Theorem have applications in various fields and in different situations, by moving these applications to the everyday human being. This becomes increasingly important because you can engoy the mathematics of the social reality of the people, which makes their teaching and their visibility much more attractive to students.
