Proposta de melhoria da usabilidade do sistema de gestão de estágios da Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná

Abstract

The central objective of this thesis is to propose an improvement of usability on the internship management system of the Universidade Tecnologica Federal do Parana (UTFPR). Is sought the answer to the following question: What strategies can be proposed to improve the usability of the internship management system at UTFPR? The research contemplated six methodological stages to be known: Bibliographic Study; Study of the Internship Management System of UTFPR; Identification of Issues Related to the Heuristics of Usability for Investigation in the Project; Usability Analysis From the User Viewpoint of the Internship Management System; Improvement Analysis and Development on the Internship S ystem; Development of the Results Presentation Model. The study is featured as explanatory, with a qualitative approach and the adopted procedure is experimental research. The results demonstrate that the users of the investigated system point a series of variables for improvement under the usability perspective. Additionally, the system analysis considering the literature recomendations on heuristics demonstrate many points to be improved. Is also added that it was possible to execute the improvement simulation on the internship management system of UTFPR. Lastly, it infers that the investigated system can be made more effective and friendly if the improvement recomended in this thesis are incorporated.
