Abstract

Work injuries and illnesses related to the frequent handling of heavy materials or even due to repetitive effort can be avoided or reduced when using mechanical equipment that will bring ease and comfort to the human being. In addition, the need for agility in unloading goods without damaging them, the great demand to reduce costs and thus increase the profits of companies, describes with great approximation the reality of freight carriers. These are the reasons that led to the elaboration of this work. To this end, it was proposed an equipment with the main purpose of satisfying the need to unload the goods of trunk trucks in a simple way, with low maintenance costs, compared to other equipments already existing in the market and that perform similar function, that is easy and Insurance to operate. It was proposed an equipment based on a study and comparison between existing equipment, used as inspiration for the development of a concept. In addition, some mechanical alternatives and their definitions were presented in the theoretical development of this work. As for the mechanical components design, the von Misses criterion was used in the design where static load was considered. With a total mass of the equipment of 59,188 kg, occupying an internal volume of the chest of 1,31m³, an area used for this equipment inside the chest of 0,437m², used 95 sets of rollers with mass of 0,249 kg each, it is believed Have achieved the initial objective of a simple and low cost equipment, regarding its maintenance and manufacturing. In this way, a reduction of expenses with damaged goods can be achieved, with consequences on the health of the operators and increasing the agility in the discharge of goods from the truck, thus allowing an increase in the profit of the transport companies.
