Implementação do protocolo MODBUS utilizando redes sem fio baseado no protocolo IEEE 802.15.4

Abstract

This work presents the activities developed in the search for the development of a prototype of a gateway module MODBUS using wireless networks based on the IEEE 802.15.4 standard. Initially, is presented the importance of communication protocols in the industry and the use of wireless networks. On the sequence is made a brief theoretical revision of the protocols used to develop the prototype. From the concepts presented the objectives of this work are introduced and described the methodologies used to develop the project. After the implementation of gateway and slave prototypes, several tests were performed, varying the size of the transmitted packet and the distance between the devices. In this way, it was possible to identify a success rate for each scenario tested. And finally, are presented the conclusions and considerations for future works.
