Perspectivas profissionais dos acadêmicos do curso de Ciências Contábeis e as expectativas de demanda do mercado

Abstract

The Accountant has a spacious labor market with many diversified options to grow professionally. Scholars often have a "range" of options with respect to desktop in accounting science. With the exposed, the goal of this research is to relate the fields of bigger demand of the accountant companies with the areas of bigger interest of accounting academics. To attend the objective, a research was made in two parts: First in the accounting offices in the city of Pato Branco - PR, then with the academics, in the three educational institutions. The data collection was made by questionnaires which aimed to quantify the skills, abilities, attitudes and prevalence in the identity of an accountant, evaluating characteristics were evaluated to find out what the of greater importance to employers or accounting and academics from all year/periods. The results obtained from the survey show that a work based on ethical behavior, entrepreneurial attitude, transparency, continuous learning, professionalism, solidarity, determination and persistence is the key to a professional growth. For both, asked about their interests in the local market activities, the academics said they had as main objective to act in business accounting, auditing and consulting. The Companies in the other hand, had as the main labor field for the next years the area of consulting. It is suggested a replication of the study for different graduating courses.
