Acessibilidade na arborização urbana no bairro Centro de Pato Branco - PR

Abstract

The demographic rising of the last years, especially in the urban areas, by the fact of country families migrating to the cities, promotes an awareness about the need of bringing the environment closer to the society’s daily. However, these abrupt establishing changes, hinder the planning of these actions, and cause several spaces disputes issues. The urban afforestation and its architectural elements influence the mobility, and the accessibility, which in turn both are limited, especially for the people who have displacement limitations. Some programs from CREA (Paraná’s Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council) about accessibility, propose the professional and civil’s awareness about the accessibility standards enforce, aiming welfare and life quality for all the citizens. According to the 2010 census, around 24% of the country population has some king of disability. In Paran this number is 21,86%. This work tries to stimulate the society about the vision that we have to let the urban area accessible for all and that the urban afforestation must be appropriate to these standards. It also proposes an analysis of the downtown urban afforestation conditions, and about how the accessibility is influenced by these conditions.
