Abstract

The technique of oil analysis is a type of predictive maintenance, it can be made collecting the oil of an equipment and analyzing it. The analysis of oils through the analytical ferrografia allows identifying the first symptoms of consuming of a component, the identification is made from the study of the amount of particles, size, form and composition, that had supplied necessary information on the conditions of the surfaces in movement without the necessity of if disassembling the set which these parts belong. Such solid particles are generated by the dynamic attrition between parts in contact. In accordance with the study of these particles it can be related the situations of consuming of the set and be attributed them physical and chemical conditions to it. The analysis of oils is made by means of laboratories techniques that involve reagents, instruments and equipment.
