Proposta de gerenciamento de resíduos sólidos de uma empresa comercializadora de insumos agropecuários

Abstract

Solid waste are materials from several activities that when poorly managed can become a social, environmental and economic problem. The subject came to be better treated after the creation of the Federal Constitution, from 1988, and the emergence of laws and regulations in statewide and municipal, reinforcing the environmental preservation. An alternative to decrease or even avoid the problems related to solid waste, is the creation of the Plan Solid Waste Management (PSWM) that searches beyond treatment and appropriate final disposal, the preservation and minimization of waste generation. This way, the work was developed in a business commercialization of agricultural inputs with the gold of assist in the creation of PSWM. After observation the production process, characterization of waste generated, by the gravimetric composition, and based on the laws relating to the subject, proposals were created for packaging, collection, treatment and final disposal generated in the company. With the gravimetric composition of the waste generated in the company, can observe that the residual organic is generated in greater quantities and is being send to the municipal landfill, and could be recycled trough composting. The waste are send to recycling, but is also important opt for the minimization at the source. Was also proposed the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for employees responsible for waste managing and the control of rodents, since the poor conditioning of waste can help the proliferation of rats. Finally, suggested the formulation of measures to control possible damage that can be caused to the environment or even to employees in case of abnormal occurrence of some waste management activity.
