Banco de dados aplicado na análise da criminalidade e índices de desenvolvimento do Brasil

Abstract

This Course Completion Work aimed to study the homicides registered in Brazil between 2005 and 2009. In addition to the homicides, the variables of the FIRJAN Index of the Municipality Development (IFMD) that comprise the variable indices of employment, income, education and health were studied. All these variables were studied and correlated with the homicide indices registered in the country during theinvestigation years. The municipality information were obtained in the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) and the data referred to the IFDM wereobtained by the Industry Federation of the Rio de Janeiro State (FIRJAN) system. Forthe development of this work, several softwares were used, as: Software PostgreSql;Software PostgreSql; Software PostGIS; PostgreSql Software Excel Import, Export &Convert Software and Statistic 11.The homicide indices registered in Brazil were submitted to the elementary statistics, variable correlation analysis and hypothesis tests with the Variance Analysis to verify significant average differences among the homicide indices of the Brazilian municipalities. In relation to the employment and income, the indices showed variables that didn´t present crescent improvement during this period. It was verified that the homicide number registered in Brazil, increased between 2005 and 2009.
