Abstract

The actual market status and the globalization is asking the commercial sector to reinvent them self every day, making them improve their products and services in order to satisfy the costumers needs. The inventory management was created with the intent to optimize the operation of the warehouse making the companies have financial benefits and bringing satisfaction to the clients. The inventory management uses tools and methods developed by experts. This paper presents the elaboration of a inventory management control system for a general store. The challenge was finding a way to develop a system that attend the general store needs and is able to manage the inventory efficiently, optimizing the money invested in storage. With the theoretical grounds and the Microsoft tools Excel and Visio the layouts for the store and the storage was developed, as well a system that is able to calculate the resupply point, security storage, ABC curve and storage balance, the system also have a data base for products, suppliers, products check in and check out, facilitating the products flow control.
