Análise da viabilidade econômica da aquisição de um secador de grãos em uma média propriedade rural em Guarapuava

Abstract

The use of the artificial drying of grains in the post-harvest process is a fundamental step to guarantee the minimum deterioration of the grains by the humidity during the storage of the product. To carry out this process, there are types of grain dryers on the market different as to their operation, also varying their drying capacity, efficiency, drying air flow, among others, being able to operate with different fuels for burning. This work has the objective of analyzing the financial economic viability of the acquisition of a grain dryer, comparing the costs of a dryer in the farm versus the costs that a farmer without this equipment has when delivering his production in a storage unit that offers this service. In this process the fuel with the best cost benefit will be evaluated. The comparison will be made with freight costs of the humid grains to the nearest (or desired) grain receiving unit and the discount of grain reception in the unit.
