Ferramentas da qualidade em programas de segurança e saúde no trabalho: estudo de caso em uma empresa do setor de avicultura no municipio de Francisco Beltrão-PR

Abstract

The workplace safety became a challenge with the event of the industrial revolution, where the use of machines, and a hostile environment, such as long hours of work, resulted in serious accidents at the workplace. Therefore, started the need for regulations, product inspection, in other words, it started the preoccupation with its quality. This process was known as quality control, and with it quality tools emerged, such as: Brainstorming, cause and effect diagram, Pareto chart, 5W2H, and so many others. After exploratory bibliographic research, it was verified that there are not a lot of studies that correlate theoretically the quality tools with workplace safety. This work objectives the application of the quality tools in workplace safety programs, and on doing so verify the correlation between these two topics. With the access to the documents from the industry studied, it was diagnosed that it has a very well organized department of workplace safety, but there is always space for improvement. So, it was applied the Ishikawa diagram to find the causes of the more recurrent accidents, after this phase the 5W2H was used to come up with solutions for the found problems. The results were presented to the industry, who demonstrated to be satisfied with them. Therefore, the relation between the quality tool and workplace safety can be verified by this study.
